Club ultimate frisbee is a great opportunity to continue practicing and improving your ultimate abilities and fitness over the summer. If you are interested in playing on EauZone, we as captains believe that playing club can help achieve that goal. There are three divisions for club frisbee: Women's, Mixed, and Open. For players who are a part of our men's club on campus, we recommend playing Open as that is the division we compete in. Mixed can also be a beneficial experience and should not be counted out of the equation.
One aspect of how summer club works is that teams will often have both practice and rostered players. The practice group involves less traveling but still allows players to improve their skills and play ultimate in the summer. A roster spot will require 3-6 weekends of travel and higher commitment to the team throughout the summer and early fall. Teams also have dues payments to cover the cost of field rental space for practices, bid fees, and lodging at out of town tournaments. Many teams will work with you if you have financial concerns, but expect to pay ~$150 as a practice player and $350-500 as a rostered player (depending on the team and number of tourneys they attend).
This past summer, we had members play for various club teams. Many alums also play on club teams after they graduate and want to get their frisbee fill.Â

If you are not in a main city or suburb (Minneapolis or Madison), club may be a lot of commuting for you. If that is the case, you may want to look into local pickup groups in your hometown area. FaceBook has the best info for local pickup!
Below are tryout details for some of the teams we recommend, as well as resources to contact each of those teams' leadership groups.
