Exit 69
Location: Northfield, MN
Depart: Leave Friday afternoon
Return: Return Sunday afternoon
This is the first tournament of the year. We split up the rosters of both teams randomly into two different teams. The two teams play against a variety of different teams from around the local area. This tournament is a great way to kick off the season as it allows new players and returners to get some experience playing with each other. We also get to rock some sick flannels as jerseys for this tournament. On the drive home from the tournament we also have a team meetup for some post tournament dinner at Raising Canes.
St. Thomas roundrobin
Location: St.Paul, MN
Depart: Leave Sunday Morning
Return: Return Sunday afternoon
This past year was our first year attending this tournament. We play a few different teams from around the Twin city area. We placed first at the tournament beating out Ugly duck (Minnesotas B team). Overall this a nice little tournament for guys to get some experince playing with one another.
No Wisconsequences
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Depart: Leave Friday afternoon
Return: Return Sunday afternoon
We as a team did not attend this tournament this past year, but this is still a great tournament to play some local Wisconsin teams. This is a 48 team tournament hosted by the Hodags. We do not get to play the Wisconsin team as much as we would like, but this tournament would be a great opportunity for us to play them.
Chillout
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Local: Arrive at the Fields for the games
This is a huge tournament hosted by our women's team and us that included 48 total teams. This tournament is the first where Eauzone and Breauzone are split into two different teams. Eauzone gets a chance to play with each other in a tournament for the first time of the year and we get to play against our alumni. This tournament is a lot to set up and repair and it is a full team effort. This tournament is also great because of the off field activities that take place with some social events taking place at The Livery as well as a fun get together at a house later that night.
Missouri Loves Company (MLC)
Location: Columbia , MO
Depart: Leave Friday early afternoon
Return: Return Sunday late afternoon
MLC is our first large trip of the year. We travel down to Columbia Missouri and play in a tournament with great competition from all over the country. Depending on team sizes and commitment we hope to send both teams, but currently Eauzone just attends. We do invite Breauzone guys to come watch and possibly get some playtime in games, but play time is not guaranteed. While the long drive is tough, this is a great opportunity to hangout with your teammates and get to know each other more. We also get to stay at an Eauzone legend in Uncle Jerry. Jerry is an uncle of an alumni that welcomes us to his house every year for this tournament. While the distance is intimidating, many who do not attend regret it very quickly.
Mixed 4's
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Local: Arrive at the Fields for the games
This tournament is a competitive tournament that a few of the Eauzone guys do with a few of the folks on SOL. The combined team is referred to as Solzone. This is a really fun tournament to watch because of the ability to support our teammates, as well as out women's team. Last year Solzone placed second in a close series to The University of Minnesota.
Duluth MLK Tournament
Location: Duluth, MN
Depart: Leave Saturday morning
Return: Return Sunday late afternoon
This Tournament is an optional indoor tournament during J term. With campus being closed and many people being at home in the cities this tournament is a nice way to see your teammates during break. This past year we got a chance to hang out with the Duluth team after kicking their butts. Overall just a good way to stay active with frisbee over the break.
